It seems when we really look at democracy, and capitalism, we can identify with its individualistic goals. When a person is driven by competition, to reach for a brass ring, this cultivates the desires for progress. Socialism brings listlessness, and lethargy because the task of elevating everybody, to gain individual success, is too daunting to bring the kind of desire that the possible reward of individual success can bring.

Democracy, and capitalism seem a promising match, but we have failed to realize their true benefits.

We actually do need a socialism twist in matters such as the mind, and the body. It is my belief that instead of spending 20% taxes on defense, in the future, when only local police are needed, we should spend some of this defense money on the arts, music, and education and other culture building activities. In America, we could care less about these ideas, and we are slowly dissolving them. We also need to bring healthcare more to the socialist side.
